Certificated WEEE Symbol Labels
This is an example of a Certificated WEEE Symbol label produced by The Label Company. The Label Company is a certified printer of WEEE Symbol labels for the marking of EEE- electrical and electronic equipment. The WEEE symbol, indicating separate collection for WEEE, waste of electrical and electronic equipment, consists of a crossed-out wheeled bin. The Label Company can print the WEEE symbol as required, visibly, legibly and indelibly.
The WEEE Symbol is required per the Article 11(2) of the WEEE Directive. It is also prescribed by European standard EN50419:2005. The WEEE symbol indicates that when the end-user wishes to discard this product, it must be sent to separate collection facilities for recovery and recycling. By separating this product from other household-type waste, the volume of waste sent to incinerators or land-fills will be reduced and natural resources will thus be conserved.
